Not quite done with the episode yet, but I will be in a bit. Muting the camera is a good thing. When I’m walking along the bay (I’m in the SF Bay Area), there are usually a lot of waterfowl that I want to take pictures of. By putting my iPhone on mute, I find I’m able to take more shots of them. The birds don’t like the shutter sound. I also have one of the first lens clips made, which will only work on my iPhone (the Olloclip), but I agree it’s very nice. I haven’t used the macro lens at all, but I’ve enjoyed the wide angle the most. The fisheye hasn’t done much for me…
Hey Doug,
Ya, I usually shut off most of the sounds on my camera. They’re kinda cool, but I find I don’t really “need” them. Also, the new Olloclips have a really nice fisheye lens that I like to use!
I actually find the Ikea story the most interesting, and just looked over the linked article. I do marketing of industrial equipment. While we’ve dabbled in CG for specific stuff like cut-aways, I’ve never considered if we can get renderings to replace equipment photography. The hardest part for me maybe getting the CAD files from our engineers in ready-to-render quality. I’ll let you know if and when I have some success with this. Thanks!
Wow, it’s really amazing how quickly the world has changed. It wasn’t that long ago that we were shooting with film and now we are creating objects not only without a film but even without a camera.
Sonny,
I’m going back and listening to old podcasts, on this episode you said you’d have a link to a video on editing pictures for free. it was around the 11:50 minute mark. You said it would be in the show notes, but I’m not seeing it.
Hey Terry,
Sorry about that! I’ll revise the shownotes with a link. Here’s the article I was talking about: http://www.pocketlenses.com/edit-your-photos-online-free/
How do I submit my pictures? I found you site and I finished podcast 3.
Tim
Hey Tim, one way would be to post it to our group at pocketlenses.com/flickr. Another thing you could do is post a link to a specific photo in your comments. Like this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sonnyandsandy/20267689844/
